Mr. Shalon has a combined twenty eight years of experience as an entrepreneur, operating executive and angel investor. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Shalon has founded ten companies in the instrumentation and medical device markets. He was the co-founder of Synteni, a Kleiner Perkins company that was acquired by Incyte Genomics in 1998. He was also the founder/co-founder of Ivy Technologies and Bio Polymerix, both of which were acquired. Since 2000, Mr. Shalon has been an active investor in a broad range of technology companies in the IT and medical device sectors. Mr. Shalon has an extensive network of industry and venture relations including Prospect Ventures, Kleiner Perkins and Versant. Mr. Shalon holds a Master of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Washington University.
